Bhavan Vidyalaya Chandigarh has been declared the top-performing school in Chandigarh and the sixth best in the country, in a recent survey conducted by ScooNews India. This comes as a pleasant addition to the long list of achievements by the prestigious institution over the last year.
Bhavan’s average aggregate of 93.54%, based on students’ performance in class XII in the CBSE Board exams 2019-20, placed it securely in the top spot in the city. At the national level, it claimed the 6th place with its median score of 95%. It is notable that the school maintains such high aggregates despite its sizeable student strength over 230 students in Class XII.
The school made it to the headlines recently as Oshil Bansal and Aryan Lehri from the Commerce team emerged Tricity toppers with whopping aggregate scores of 99.4% and 99.2% respectively. The Tricity topper from the medical stream too came from BVC, as Shruti Goel scored an aggregate of 98.6%. Aryan Mahajan of the Humanities stream stood second in the Tricity and first in Chandigarh with his aggregate of 98.8%. The school also saw a whopping 30 students scoring hundreds across various subjects in Class XII.
Further, the school has been declared second best in the city in the Class X category. With a median score of 91.6% and an average of 89.08%, the school ranks next to the school placed in the first spot with an average of 90.21%. Student Vrinda Gupta of Class X stood first in Chandigarh and second in the Tricity with an exceptional aggregate of 98.8%. 24 perfect hundreds were scored by various students in the Class X CBSE exams 2019-20.
