The Heritage Club, Dharohar, instituted by the Social Science Department, was initiated with the objective of acquainting students with our rich cultural and natural heritage inspiring them to make efforts to preserve it. It has been organizing field trips which include visits to archaeological sites and museums.
Dharohar also organized “Paint A Monument” & Collage making activity for class VI-X.
The members of the club went for a field trip to Malerkotla Punjab, which included visits to the Nawab’s Haveli, the Eid Gaah, ruins of the old Qila and the Kuka Memorial. The club also staged a play titled “Shaheedon Ki Pukaar” on the occasion of Independence Day. The play showcased the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters in our national struggle and also rued the loss of the moral values in the present generation.
