Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Chandigarh Kendra was founded on 17 July 1983.
At present the number of institutions under the management of the Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan has reached a figure of 373 spread over 123 Kendras in the country. The total student strength is in the neighbourhood of 2 lakhs.
It is an organisation dedicated to creating awareness of India’s rich heritage, scriptures, unity of all faiths and common spiritual truth given to the world community by sages and seers. It is an organisation with a national character and an international outlook. Bhavan works to make Indians proud of their motherland and underlying emphasis is always on moral values.
Bhavan has consistently pursued its goal of being a centre of excellence in the realm of academics and as is evident from the board results year after year, it has certainly been fulfilling its promise. An All India Survey of Schools was conducted by Education World 2012 in which 431 well known day schools were assessed by a carefully constituted respondent base comprising parents, principals, teachers and educationists across 14 parameters. We are proud to share with you that in this survey our school has an all India ranking of 42nd and its academic reputation has been ranked as 4th.
Our scholars have made their mark not only in the board examinations but in other competitive exams such as the NTSE (National Talent Search Competition) a national level examination conducted by NCERT every year.
